After six years in a long-distance relationship, spanning different continents, travel had become an integral part of Shanshan and Phillip’s love story. With family and friends spread across the globe, they envisioned their wedding not just as a celebration of their union, but as a heartfelt reunion for all their loved ones. For Shanshan, who had dreamt of honeymooning in Santorini since childhood, the idea of marrying on the island made perfect sense—adding even deeper meaning and creating lasting memories. So the idea of a destination wedding was born.
Their Santorini dream wedding began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, setting a tone of cultural significance and intimacy. Shanshan prepared at the luxurious Chromata Hotel, before exchanging vows at the stunning Sun Rocks venue, with breathtaking views of the caldera. Following an elegant cocktail hour, the festivities moved to Aressana Spa Hotel & Suites for a sumptuous dinner reception. Guests indulged in a fine menu of grilled veal and sea bass in pistachio sauce, complemented by local Santorini wines.
The mild, enchanting weather added to the atmosphere as guests danced and celebrated poolside, under a starlit sky. Shanshan, captivated by the beauty of Santorini, expressed her joy, saying, "Everywhere you look feels like a postcard."
