With our family rooted in Santorini’s hotel industry since 1970, our lives have unfolded inside the landscapes, traditions, and artistry of Greek celebrations.

Greece has always been more than a place we work in, it’s the place we call home. We understand its history, its light, its rituals, and the quiet elegance that makes a celebration feel truly, deeply Greek.

But what we do goes far beyond styling. It’s about creating an experience that feels authentic, effortless, and deeply connected to the place.

The Mastermind

Stella Chanioti

Stella is lovingly known among vendors and partners as
“The Swiss Watch” of the Stella and Moscha team. Always prompt and timely, she sets everything in motion at exactly the time stated and not a second later – whether that’s fireworks, white doves or the very first dance. Born and raised inside hotels, Stella followed the family tradition and off to London she went at just 17 to get her BA in Business Administration followed soon after by an MA in Tourism Management, Planning & Sustainable Development.

It was while working for IQPC, one of the largest conference organisers in the world, that she realised how much she missed the warm sun and the blue skies of her home country. And she returned to Athens. First working as a Catering Operations Manager before moving to the world-renowned “Mastiha Shop” where she led the launch of new artisanal food products made and inspired by Greek tradition. But her love for Santorini was too strong to ignore. So she returned to the island of her childhood and along with her sister Moscha decided to reinvent their mother’s business. And Weddings in Santorini transformed into Stella and Moscha.

The Fiery Spirit

Lydia Meritzi

Born to a Greek father and a Mexican-American mother Lydia brings the latin “modjo” into the team. After pursuing a Psychology degree
in college, Lydia changed course and spent her working career coordinating logistics at leading coffee brands in Greece.

A keen interest in a more creative career has led her to the wonderful world of Stella and Moscha a few years ago where she keeps the team in order during chaotic pre-event days. A practical mind in nature and a fanatic coffee lover Lydia knows how to blend experience and imagination to deliver high-end, personalised events.

Smooth Operator

Dina Gavanozi

Full of funny quotes and bringing in the cultural element into the team as Dina pursued Theater studies in the UK. She then found herself in Brussels further completing her studies, planning events and working in the European Council. Her love for Greece though led her back to the country pursuing an event’s career when her footsteps led her to StellaAndMoscha.

Dina is often found baking – a strict judge for all Cake Designers we work with – since she challenges herself each week with new recipes. A “smooth operator” is certainly a great way to describe her contribution to the team.

How we work

Our work is to take the whole day off your hands.

We plan, design and source everything it needs, which starts with finding the venue and arranging the guest accommodation, and continues with the vendors and partners we have worked with across Greece for years, so every part of the wedding is in hands we know. Decor is kept clean and considered, because the settings here are already beautiful and the plan should let them show. On the day itself, each moment starts at exactly the time stated, whether that is the fireworks or the first dance, so you do not have to watch the clock.

What guests take home is how the wedding felt, and that is the measure every one of those decisions is made against.

Every wedding has something that belongs only to it, and finding it is where we start. When we first meet we ask how you met, whether you knew straight away, and what matters most to you about the day. The answers shape the decor, the florals, the art de la table and the light.

What we plan from there depends on the occasion. A wedding weekend on Santorini, a secret elopement, a celebration for twelve or a corporate programme across Greece each has its own page, and we orchestrate all of them the same way, as Greek celebrations through and through.
