From the start we knew this wedding was going to be special as it had it all: a romantic love story, a classy Mediterranean beauty with a statuesque figure, a handsome man and an historic location. Emilia Papadopoulos, a young, talented, hard working journalist, former BBC presenter and proud ambassador @breastcancerhaven, decided to marry Victor, the man of her life in the officially “royal” Greek island of Spetses. These two love birds grew up together in Cyprus as they parents were close friends even before they were born. After endless joint summer holidays and family celebrations their lives took separate paths but on many of the occasions Victor’s work took him to London he decided to try his luck with his childhood friend that had grew to be a beautiful young professional making it in the Big Smoke. After many dinner date proposals Emilia finally succumbed and the rest is history.

Fast forward to summer 2018, where the two love birds were ready to continue their parents’ tradition and officially join their families and their lives in this elegant and sophisticated wedding celebration in Spetses. An island featured in the frontlines of contemporary Greek history and more recently the exclusive retreat for the Greek aristocracy, it makes you feel like the mansions, the small streets and the carriages jumped straight out of a gravure.

We cannot help but fall in love with Emilia’s portraits, the island’s magical atmosphere or this wedding’s understated style. Olive greens, white flowers and navy blue details came together perfectly to set the tone of the classiest wedding you will see this year.
