This fashionista couple of ours! Milan and Garrett wanted their wedding to be modern, stylish, neutrals inspired, and filled with lots and lots of white and black blooms (aka anemones)! Their ceremony took place at the Rocabella Infinity Pool and upon arrival, guests were immediately drawn to the gorgeous, flower roofed arch.

The couple kicked off the reception at the beachfront venue Laze Santorini with a charm dancing entrance and toast. Guests then found themselves ushered underneath a pergola of string and fairy lights for dinner and dancing. Beautiful modern blooms filled the tables with so many detailed notes on the table.

Garrett and I met on the first day of 8th grade, but did not begin dating until after a pivotal fourth of July party our senior year of high school. We spent our college years in an on again off again relationship before deciding to go our separate ways. Call it fate or true love, but after a few years apart, we found ourselves drawn back together and ready to take our relationship seriously. On July 10, 2020, overlooking the beautiful Virginia sunset, Garrett asked me to marry him and I gave a very teary and extremely fast “yes!”

We always knew we wanted to have a destination wedding and when it came time to choose a location Greece seemed like an obvious choice. Garrett’s family is Greek American, so the familial ties and the allure of the Greek islands made the decision easy. Upon beginning to work with Stella and Moscha, we knew we were interested in Santorini but ultimately also wanted to explore a few other islands. After a couple of calls, many emails and a few Instagram rabbit holes we agreed Santorini was the best location for our wedding. During one particular call with Lydia, I came to the realization a trip to Greece prior to our wedding day was not going to be an option, as the global pandemic was still very much in full effect. Lydia sent more photos and videos of a variety of venues and assured me that she had yet to meet a person or bride who arrived on the island and was disappointed with what they saw. In fact, it was typically the opposite and brides would exclaim “pictures do not do this place any justice!”

Upon arriving in Santorini we quickly realized those words Lydia said were exactly true. I was brought to tears just driving up the cliffside to our hotel. The views are breath taking, the people are extremely generous, and the food is unlike anything we have in America. Santorini is a little slice of heaven and our time there was simply not enough. We got up nearly every morning to run, around the time the sunrises, and were blown away each day by the skyline. From the staff at Stella and Moscha, to the hotel staff, to each vendor at our wedding, every single person made us feel like royalty. We will forever cherish our wedding week in Santorini and cannot thank Stella, Lydia, Glykeria and the entire team they put together enough. We cannot wait to come back and visit!
